Both Troll Hunter and Ramaskrik Film Festival are 15 years old in 2025. This will be marked with an atmospheric screening of Troll Hunter in the amphitheater at «Villmarksleiren» (The Wilderness Camp). And director Andrè Øvredal has announced his arrival.
This will be a very special and atmospheric experience. We will move the trolls to where they most likely feel at home, namely in the dark forest in Oppdal at the foot of Dovrefjell.
Troll Hunter was one of the best-attended Norwegian films at the cinema in 2010. Director Andrè Øvredal went on to have an international career with films such as Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, The Last Voyage of the Demeter and not least The Autopsy of Jane Doe. The latter wich had its first Norwegian screening at Ramaskrik in 2016, with Øvredal visiting. The director has just shot a new horror film for the Hollywood studio Paramount, with an unknown title and release date.

«Villmarksleiren» is located about 10 minutes from Oppdal Kulturhus, and we are setting up a shuttle bus for the audience. We will come back to the practicalities of this.
The screening will take place on the first Ramaskrik evening, Wednesday 15th of October, a truly magical start to the festival. We promise more highlights in the future, but just mark your calendars now and look forward to the 15th Ramaskrik Film Festival 15 – 20 October 2025.
