Babak Anvari is an award-winning director and producer. His breakthrough came in 2016 with Under the Shadow – a film we screened at Ramaskrik that same year, says festival director Morten Haagensen.

Under the Shadow was the UK’s official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars in 2017, and Anvari won the BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut. The film received numerous awards at international festivals.

Now, Hallow Road is ready for Ramaskrik – an intense thriller starring Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys. Another strong addition to the program, and of course, it’s a real treat for us that the audience will get to meet the director himself, says Haagensen.

Babak Anvari will be in Oppdal from October 17–19 to introduce the film and meet the audience. There will be a Q&A session following the premiere screening on Friday, October 17.
