Special Screening: Handling the Undead (2024) with Director Thea Hvistendahl

Norwegian genre film is truly on the rise, gaining international recognition and acclaim. Handling the Undead, starring Renate Reinsve, premiered in Norwegian cinemas in 2024 and had an impressive festival run, culminating in the most prestigious award in European genre film: the Méliès d’or for Best Feature Film. Among the films it surpassed was Oddity, which we screened last year with director Damien Mc Carthy in attendance.

As Norway’s representative in the Méliès network, we are proud to highlight this achievement.

We are hosting a special screening of Handling the Undead, and are honored to welcome director Thea Hvistendahl to introduce the film and join us for a Q&A session afterwards — where she’ll share everything we want to know.
