Filmmaker and film blogger Aleksander U. Serigstad brings 2 projects to Ramaskrik!

Serigstad and his partner in crime Ivar N. Fallet are the men behind the Filmjunkiene (“The Film Junkies”) blog and YouTube channel, where for 10 years they have reviewed B-movies. Just like us at Ramaskrik, they have a special place in their hearts for horror films, which is evident from the selection of films they write and talk about. This Halloween sees the release of their 50th episode, just in time for the 10-year anniversary – but the Ramaskrik audience get a special preview of the anniversary episode. We can’t wait to see the result, in Speilsalen at Oppdal Kulturhus, Saturday 19/10 at 3pm!

In addition to talking about other people’s films, Serigstad makes films of his own. His upcoming documentary Norwegian FX is the story of Gunnar Ferdinandsen; a forgotten, but legendary Norwegian special effects expert. Ferdinandsen started his effects career with Gustav Vigeland, and ended up as a collaborator of Rick Baker and Bob Rottin on films such as The Thing (1982), Ghostbusters (1984) and Total Recall (1990). Serigstad will give a presentation of Norwegian FX before the screening of the festival film The Barge People on Friday the 18th, at 11am.
