Ramaskrik will choose a winner of the Méliès d'argent (silver Méliès) who will compete in the finals of the Méliès d'or, as one of 14 films, during the Sitges Film Festival next year. A total of 16 European short films have been included in the programme, including 5 Norwegian films.

ROB SAVAGE
Director Rob Savage made his debut as a 19-year-old with the feature film Strings in 2012, which he directed, produced, wrote and edited. The film won "The Raindance Award" at BIFA. Since then, he has made a number of short films, where we have shown both Dawn of the Deaf (2016) and Salt (2017) at Ramaskrik.
During the 2020 covid shutdown, Rob wrote and directed what would become his breakthrough, Host, which we screened as the opening film on the digital edition of Ramaskrik in 2020. The film was quickly picked up by the streaming service Shudder, and still has a 99% Fresh -rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
After Host, Rob Savage became the hottest name in the horror world, and quickly received offers from Hollywood. In 2021 came Dashcam, and in 2023 he was behind The Boogeyman, based on a short story by Stephen King.
