Christmas comes early during Ramaskrik this year. You'll be in the christmas spirit already in October with Magnus Martens' "There's Something in the Barn"!

-Going into the Christmas season is going to be extra fun this year. The audience will be served a bloody Christmas comedy with a staple in norwegian folklore in forefront; the barn elf, says festival director Morten Haagensen.

"There's Something in the Barn" is the latest film from producers Kjetil Omberg and Jørgen Storm Rosenberg, who have given us films such as "Dead Snow" and "The Trip". A universe we love! That means a good dose of humor and a genre film to our taste.

-This is a wonderful film which references includes the delightful Gremlins and Critters films of the 80s. The film stands very well on its own and is set on a rural disused small farm in rural Norway.

After inheriting a farm in Gudbrandsdalen, an American family moves in for Christmas. A lifelong dream comes true. But that was before they irritated the barn elves.

-"There's Something in the Barn" is a "highly entertaining R-rated pre-Christmas adventure for the whole family", with young people and adults. Lots of humor with well-known Norwegian comedians as well as a family from the USA in search of the Norwegian traditions.

"There's Something in the Barn" is directed by Magnus Martens and has a Norwegian cinema premiere on November 10., but will have its Norwegian premiere at Ramaskrik film festival already on October 19. as the year's opening film. The film has also been selected for Fantastic Fest in the USA, one of the largest Fantastic festivals in the world.

It all starts friday, October 19
